I have a wide variety of talks for groups, which I can deliver in person or online. Here is a selection of some of my recent ones. Please enquire if there is something specific you are looking for as I happy to tailor talks to your requirements.
Cyanotype on Fabric

Cyanotype is an early photography technique which works well on fabric as well as paper. Increasingly, artists are exploring its potential as an art form. I have been experimenting with cyanotype for many years and will share many examples of my cyanotype work as well as its history and technique.
Journeying the Desire Lines

A question I am often asked is where did you get the inspiration to make this quilt? On this talk, I share how my quilt Desire Lines IV was developed. Showing how nothing evolves in a straight line and how many things converge together at once to bring about each individual piece. I trace its ancestry from drawings made on a retreat, technique development and how this inspiration led in many different directions. A great talk if you want to understand how a creative mind works
Fragments of the Past

Over the space of 4.5 years, I undertook a very part-time MA in Contemporary Art and Archaeology. This talk shows how my work developed over that period, carefully considering the local environment in which I live and work and how this could be translated into meaningful textile art.
Sketchbooks for Textile Artists

Are you afraid of a sketchbook? Do you think drawing is a waste of time when you could be stitching? I explain how I became a zealous sketchbook convert, with lots of practical examples of how I have used sketchbooks. And you get to decide whether using sketchbooks has improved my textile art (spoiler alert – it has!)
